Q: How to stop masturbating

I've been doing it for about 3 years now, im 18 and i want to stop. How can I? Ive tried before and I can last maybe a week, and i'll see something, which will arouse me and thats it, im gone. In a movie I once saw, it was a comedy, but it had the right idea, this guy, when he got aroused, would go and chop wood till it went away, another guy would go and ring the church bells till it went away. So they had the right idea, so would that work somehow?

Don't deny natural urges the more you try and beat it the more you will obsess about it

if u think u have a problem with it then go and get a girl to do it for u. also when u get older these urges will settle down (atleast thats what im told, got the same problem)

There is quite a bit of controversy over this subject. There is really no medical reason to stop the practice though you may have a religious concern over it. You sort of answered your own question with the woodchopping thing.. Try to find an activity that is incompatible with the practice... I would actually prefer to see you release your sexual tension in this way (before you find a long term relationship) than to go out and "get a girl"... Of course you want to prevent it becoming an obsession and overdone.

Ok me and so many other people are having this problem. Here is probley the best thing to do if you turley want to stop. First make a goal for your self such as only do it once a week, then do it once every two weeks. If you feel an urge of doing it. Try geting yourself active and just dont think about it. Go out side ride a bike or play ball. It should help.
