I was talking to my fiancee today when he causally comes up and tells me that his father, who he is VERY close to (His parents are divorced and his mother basically deserted the kids with there father) has cancer. Not only do I NOT know what to do, I have NO idea how to console him or help him at ALL. My sisters father in law passed away early in November and that was horrifying for me. I had never seen death or anything of the sort until then and I was pretty useless the entire time because I was so stunned and scared. Now that its MY (soon to be.. Hopefully) father in law I think I'm even more stunned and scared. How do I help my fiancee get through this as well as keep MY cool?

PLEASE HELP!!!
