Is it possible to no if you have dilated with out going to the doctors, coz that is really un-comfy (never can spell that, sorry)

Yes, MandeeMoo, it is possible. All the doctors do to see if you are dilating or have dilated is stick their fingers in (all the way) and they measure how many centimeters you are by how many fingers they can get in there without forcing any fingers. Usually if a finger won't go in, they won't force. I know this may sound kind of "dirty" but I'm sorry lol. When I was preg, I also wondered how they could tell if you were dilating and I finally just asked my doctor and that's what she told me.

you can check your own dialation too. As long as your water hasnt broken.
I tryed but didnt really know what I was feeling. I knew it was opened more...sure enough I was 2 cm. After that I was too scared to try...lol. My hubby check me and said he could feel his head before he started to crown all the way...weird i know

im 7 months pregnant and high risk for preterm labor. my baby has been head down the whole time. i have dropped and concrned that i might have dialted due to some really bad pains. like when i go to the bathroom i feel alot of pressure is that normal.
