Q: how to delay periods on logynon ed safely

going on holiday ,periods(not mine the wifes)are regular,every 4 weeks,she wants to know if she can delay or change the week she starts safely,she is on the pill (logynon ed)and has till august to ajust her start date?she fly`s out for a week on the day she starts, thanks. sunny

Just skip the placebo (the white ones she takes when she gets her period that are only "reminder" pills) and start a new pack. I do this all the time on Yaz. This is one of the advantages of taking the pill--skipping. She may have a bit of break-through bleeding (a small amount of spotting, usually) if she skips, particularly if it's 3 or 4 months in a row.

On the pill, you don't really have a real "period," per se. It's withdrawal bleeding. So skipping it is totally safe. She can also call her doctor's office if she wants to make sure. I don't know why this feature isn't on billboards! It should be.

So to skip your pill on Logynon. you just miss the bottom 7 placebo pills and start a new pack

Hiya,
i skipped my period in August, first month was fine, but the second month i started to spot bleed..its been going on for nearly over 2 weeks now. Do you know ow long this will last? or do i have to wait to get my next period again?
