Q: How much baby food?

My daughter is 17 lbs and will be 6 months this week. When I feed her baby food, she still wants more after one jar. Should I start on second foods or open a new jar? She's eating about 3 jars a day. Of course I'm following up every meal with breastmilk. Also, while I feed her she gets super excited and has her mouth open long before the spoon gets there. Often, she tries to grab it and feed herself and we all end up covered in veggies lol. Thats another thing, she won't eat any fruits except bananas even though I offer other fruits everyday. She eats veggies perfectly fine!

I would just say, maybe try breastfeeding before the baby food instead of after. That way you know she is getting the good stuff before she gets too full of baby food (not that it isn't good but she needs the breastmilk more at this point.) I think it's awesome that she likes veggies.

She won't touch the baby food if I feed her at all before. She only eats 3 baby food meals a day and 6 breastfeeding meals(including the times I feed her after she has eaten baby food). She nurses as if she's getting a whole meal even after she eats the 2 ounces of veggies. Is it okay that she prefers the veggies over the fruits or should they be fed evenly?
