I'm not yet a vegetarian, but I respect those who are and kind of idealize the lifestyle. Vegetarians SMELL so much better than meat eaters, for one. And for another...I find that my veggie friends have great skin!

Funny how people get arrested for abusing a dog, meanwhile companies are beating, branding, torturing and slaughtering hundreds of thousands of animals (most of which are more intelligent than domesticated animals).
That's the most hypocritical b/s I've ever seen.

I'll have been a vegetarian three years this January 1st. I'd been wanting to give up meat for some time and as the New Year was approaching, I decided to make a special New Year's Resolution and stuck to it. Having eaten meat pretty much every day for eighteen years or so, it was hard at first, but now I'm very rarely tempted -- indeed the sight of meat sometimes actually puts me off sometimes. I don't find it at all difficult being a vegetarian now -- there are so many meat substitutes and despite what some people seem to think, a meal can be complete without the addition of meat. If anything, it made me broaden my eating habits -- I was such a picky eater before.

I'm 20 and have been a vegetarian around ten years. Purely because the idea of eating a dead animal really freaks me out! Seems to be a lot more popular now than it was when I was younger

i was one for 22 years from age 9 to 28 and i have wrecked my body . it destroys you you think its better for you its not. i have MORE health problems from being one then not being one. really talk to doctors about the long term affects of this lifestyle.

Bamagirl1 I thought you were a veggie from 7 to 30? Now it's 9 to 28?

But I agree...this diet is pretty horrible and ridiculous...this comes from someone who was a vegetarian for 15 years. I regret every day of it considering what it has done to my body now and how sickly and tired I was from day one. What a stupid thing to do to your body.
