I have tested positive for HSV2 last month (Dec), 2.41 was the number. I had not had sex for close to 10 years up until last June. At that time I had a woman perform oral sex on me and I on her. I'm sure HSV2 can be transmitted this way but where will the outbreaks if any show up, Could I receive HSV2 from her performing oral on me or would it have to be from me contacting an infected area on her?
In October, a woman I was with then thought she had a UI and went to her DR. She was told it appeared she had been exposed to HSV2. That is when I went and got tested. She believes I am the one that exposed her. We are dealing with this together and not pointing fingers just looking for answers. I had never had any indication or outbreaks until November of this year. Is it possible to have HVS2 with no visible symptoms for 15 or more years? It has been that long since I had a different partner. Do low positive numbers indicate a recent infection? Her Dr told her she had a scabbed over sore that was indicative of HSV2. This was 4 days after we were together for the first time. Is it possible for it to do this in such a short time frame or did our activity aggravate an existing condition.
