I was kissing a kid that had mono for like a month on a regular basis, but he did not know he had it at the time. His doctor said he had it for about 2 months before he started kissing me. It's been two months since we've started kissing (& since then stopped because we found out he had it) What are my chances of getting mono? Lately I've been exhausted, and some days I'll feel like crap, but others I'll be okay. A few days ago my throat started bothering me, but it hasn't really gotten that much worse but my glands are noticeably swollen in my neck. Also, I get random pain like deep in my ears and I'm achy at times. To top it off I'm an athlete, and have been more winded than normal the past few days. Even though I don't feel well I would have thought I'd have full blown symptoms by now or they'd be worsening at a more rapid pace. (Not that I'm not greatful, just curious)

for me, it hit me pretty hard,

leading up to when it was really bad, for about a week and a half, i was just tired and got bad headaches all the time, but once my throat hurt a little bit, it was unbearable by the next morning. It came on pretty fast!
but from what i undersand, everyone has different experiences with the symptoms, how bad they are, and how long they last! I'll cross my fingers that your throat doesnt get any worse, it was the most pain of my life!

I know when I was reading up on mono to see if I had it I found a lot of personal experiences that never actually told me if the person had mono or not. So I'd just like to say, yes I have mono. My blood test came back positive.
