Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If the infection is severe, it can take upto 7-10 days to clear up completely. Look out for persistence of symptoms or development of any new symptoms. Visit your gynecologist for further evaluation to see if infection is still present. Get a vaginal swab/smear test done to identify causative agent, and get started on appropriate treatment as indicated. If you are sexually active, get your partner also treated simultaneously to prevent chances of re-infection. Drink plenty of water. Avoid vaginal douches and use of harsh soap or perfumes in the area. Avoid sweat accumulation. Keep area clean and dry. Avoid tight fitting clothes. Use loose cotton undergarments.
Take care.
