I have inflammatory arthritis and have tried Enbrel, (no relief!) for eight weeks since pain is primarily in my back, wrists, hips and knees. (Rhuemmy is thinking AS) I have now switched to 6 Methotrexate weekly and 5 mgs of Prednisone daily and am still in significant pain since the switch over in mid October. I certainly would hope it would have started to show some sign of working by now! This lovely disease has affected how I do everything in my life, and I just want to find some relief! Anyone had any experience with this drug combination and it's effectiveness?

i am having trouble too. I have severe RA in my knees so much so that they will not straighten. They put me on 8 methotrexate and 10mg prednisone on August 2, 2010 it took untill November for it to do hardley anything, very little pain relief. They have me on Enbrel, same mexotrexate, same Prednisone and 400mg of Plaquenil now ( been on it for 2 months no relief) Did they want to try any other biologicals with you? I guess simple answer they told me the Methotrexate would take 3 months to start working.
