How damaging is 1-2 cigarettes a week?

I have a smoking related question for anyone who knows detailed information on how permanently damaging smoking is.

I had my first cigarette when i was 19 at a party, because other kids were doing it (go figure) but i had always wanted to try and see what the big deal was.
I've been smoking now for 1 1/2 years, and have been documenting every cigarette i've ever had on my cell phone's memo pad. As of now i'm up to 50 cigarettes TOTAL, but recently i'm averaging 1-2 cigarettes per week.
I've heard stories that your lungs fully heal 1 cigarette's damage in 24 hours, and others that say i'll never breathe at my full capacity again. Which is true and where can i find studies to show my family that i'm not addicted and am not killing myself?

smoking
none of this is true, the effects of smoking 1-2 a week are just as catastrophic as 1-2 a day, your body never heals after a cigarette, once the damage has be done, it is not fixable. i started smoking 1-2 a week when i was a teenager, big mistake. it just got worse and worse. Hope this helps, to anyone reading this give up while its easy. Don't be an idiot, don't follow the crowd. Its stupid
