Q: Hormonal mood swings

I think I am depressed as my moods swings are becoming terrible. I am overly happy one minute and tearful the next for no apparent reason. This becomes excessively worse just prior to my menstrual cycle to the point that I shouted loudly at an elderly man who left dog faeces outside my house last week. This is so uncharacteristic of me as I am usually a happy, jolly, kind and caring person. My menstrual cycle has also become a little erratic of late. I am now very heavy and it is lasting a good week which has changed from being very light for only a few days. I am married with 2 children and I am 41 years old. Am I going mad or could I be going through the change? or am I just turning into a miserable, depressed person?

I'd request to have my hormone levels checked.

No, I don't believe you are turing into a miserable, depressed person.

Mood swings happens to the best of us...especially us women folks Smile when that time approaches...
