So i am a little worried about getting my hopes up and do not want to talk to others before i know for sure. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months with no luck. My last period was September 24 and I had taken 6 pregnancy tests since, all that said not pregnant. However, two days ago I took a test, expecting it to say not pregnant and it was pregnant! I was so excited and took another one that also said pregnant. I called yesterday to make a prenatal appointment and I won't be able to get in until Dec 15. Is there a way that I could not be pregnant and the tests being wrong? Has this happened to anyone?

Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is rare to have false positive results with urine pregnancy test kits. You may also consider taking a repeat urine pregnancy test (on an early morning first urine sample as it contains highest concentration of HCG hormone and is usually accurate) after 7-10 days of missed/altered periods to see if you get positive results, or get it confirmed by a blood HCG test (avoid lot of fluid intake or caffeinated beverage intake in the previous night before test). Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately).
