Q: Honeymoon Ideas

Since I'm getting married in 7 months and 3 weeks! My fiance and I need to start planning our honeymoon. Can anyone give us suggest? We would love to go to Paris but I'm sure we wouldn't have the money for that. So we'd like something nice and not too pricey. We're open to all ideas even somewhere nice to go in the states, it doesn't have to be on a island!

I went to Austria for my honeymoon, but that was 10 years ago when things were much cheaper! It also helped that my husband had been there a few times before because he knew his way around a little bit: we didn't have the stress of wondering if we were going to get lost lol. Although one day I think we did a little...ended up walking REALLY far and it took a long time to get back....I think that was the Vienna woods we got lost in. It was romantic, but me feet hurt. My nylons were shot lol.

Paris sounds soooo romantic! I want to go there too someday. Did you think of staying in the states or you really want to fly over the water somewhere? I think if I had the chance to go somewhere without the kids on a second honeymoon, I would choose one of those secluded couple for 2 villas on an island. There was one that had only 8 villas on the whole island and you would never see anyone. I need to patch up my relationship with my husband: not that it's bad or anything, just don't hardly have time for each other anymore with the 6 kids and work.

I know money is an object, but I thought I would put this little thing down for fun: I saw a couple years ago that you could rent an island for a week or something. Total seclusion. It was like 8 grand for a week I think? Now that would be amazing.

Thanks for your reply!

Geez if we only had 8 grand! I wouldn't mind traveling to somewhere in the states. Like a road trip or something. We would really have a good time traveling to where we want to go but gas is soo high! I scared of boats and i didn't fly before. IDK what to do!

Hey, well I know about that! I had never flown before when I went on my honeymoon and doing 10 hours of flying, not including the time between transfers was actually really stressful. A road trip sounds great! Did you consider maybe going to Callaway Gardens in Georgia? You would probably want to be more south since it's probably a little colder then anyway, unless you want to be cold lol....makes things more snuggly! If you go in the off seasons anywhere it's going to be cheaper too.

Well normally people go places in the summer, so if you go to the beach in winter, things are cheaper because it's not in high demand.

road trip is definatley fun to do and it gives more opportunity to spontanious. Like having sex on a log in the middle of a cattle field....hehehe

Hubby and I are taking a weekend trip to Payson, AZ. From there we will drive to Strawberry, AZ and go on top of the Moggellon Rim (SP)

We have a van and the seats completly come out. SO we are going to throw our camping mats down and just camp out where ever we want in the forest. Its not our honeymoon but maybe a week long road trip would be good for you guys.
You could stay at different hotels and sight see in the different cities you will be in???? And just think it will be completey private and romantic. Not to mention exciting.

My hubby and I went to Hawaii for our honeymmon. We stayed on Wakiki Beach overlooking the ocean and Diamond Head. It was the most beautiful place ever! I would deffinately reccommend it to anyone especially honeymooners! Grand Caymen, St. John, and Bermuda are also lovely, but I'd still prefer Hawaii to any of those. We'r going on a cruise in 2 months to San Juan, Haiti, St. Maarteen, and St. Thomas, so I'll be sure to post how those are.

yeah it sure does spice things up. Daniel is way more daring than me, but once I get over the fear I love it. It sure makes the relationship more exciting

Too true. I need something like that right now, because with all the kids, it's like, what relationship?

I hope you find a great place, Love. Enjoy you time you have have together...afterwards it's hard to find time for each other with jobs and appointments, especially after you have kids.

yeh you're right. we're leaning towards disneyland for some reason. his mom suggested it and I've been thinking about it because we've both never been there and it would be so much fun. like big kids!

disnyland sounds like a blast. It would be refreshing for both of you to be kids again. Thats one thing I have learned is that you NEED to be a kid sometimes. Otherwise life gets dull. Maybe you could check out a water park too. it will be summer then so that would be nice (depending on where you live)
