My brother has Hodgkin' s disease and I am told it is serious. He lives a long way from me, and I don' t like to crossexamine him on the phone about his problem. Can you please explain this condition for me?
Hodgkins disease is a form of lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes). For most patients, the treatment of this type of cancer is chemotherapy. When diagnosed at an early stage, long-term survival is possible in about 90% of cases (as with most other cancers, the survival rates are lower for more advanced stages of disease).
