My daughter had a hysterectomy and then 3 days after the surgery she noticed long lines of thick hives on her stomach and sides, then it spread more, to the small sterile strips that were holding each incision closed The Stripes were removed by hives are now spreading down around her vagina and her legs. She was given over the counter cortozone cream but the hives are still spreading. Could this happen from those stripes or the medicine used when cleaning her stomach before surgery?

Any danger to this hives? Anything we can get for the hives, they are long and thick.
