hives and my fingers and bottom of feet are swollen?

Yesterday I had hives, they weren't that bad but they got worse the next day when i woke up. now they cover my entire body and my fingers as well as the bottom of my feet are swollen. The last part has never happened in all my experience with hives. I font have hives on the bottom of my feet or hands, so i am confused as to why they are so swollen. it also hurts to walk on it. I can't for the life of me figure out why i suddenly have hives. The last time was a few months ago and it wasn't as bad as it is now, and before that I has hives eight years ago, when i was about ten years old. My question basically is, is this serious? And what does the swollen feet/hands mean?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

It seems that you have urticaria, as a result of allergy to something you have been exposed.

This can be treated with ice packs and Hydrocortisone ointment applied locally.

Antihistamines like benadryl, will also help.
