Q: hive bumps around my belly button
asked by: DoctorQuestion on March 31st, 2009
I have that kind of look like hives. They are all within 2 inches of my belly button and are,for the most part, the same color as my skin but with a little redish color. I only have a few of them but i have had them before. Could these be genital herpes or any kind of STD?

The location of the bumps is not specific for sexual transmitted disease. However, you might still be experiencing skin infection. You might want to visit your doctor for visual exam. Antibiotic creams might be recommended. Meanwhile, taking over the counter anti-inflammatory creams might be helpful.
