I'm pretty much freaking out. From January to April this year I was sleeping regularly with someone I trusted- unprotected sex. Early April we broke up for other reasons, but today he tells me he recently took an HIV test and came back positive. I immediately went and got tested and came back negative. This is 4 weeks after the last time we were together.

I know I have to just sit and wait until July when I can get another test and know for sure. But what are my chances? I probably have it right? I have not engaged in any other risky behavior, other than trusting someone I shouldn't have...

It isn't a matter of trust so much as a matter of self preservation. No matter how well you know someone or how much you trust them,it all comes down to you. No one is to blame. You are responsible for your hearth..period.
It is always best to wait 3 months after possible exposure to get tested and just because he has it doesn't mean you will have it.Also, even if you do that doesn't mean you will die or even get ill...talk to your doctor or clinic and know the facts.there is no reason to freak or to think your life is over. I hope that you play safe from now on no matter what someone may tell you...it will be OK.
