Hi, I was given an hiv western blot test 4 weeks after exposure and tested negative ,i read that if you get a western blot test that means that you first tested positive at elisa then you were given western blot ? is that true ?

I think it is true.

I also think that you should wait at least three months from the point of supposed infection and get tested. That test will be more accurate and one is recommended to wait yet another three months and get the final test.

I hope you can sort this out.
