Hi... I was involved in a french kiss unfortunately ... there was some exchange of saliva .. I believe my lips were sore and had cuts ,, There was no blood when we kissed ... I am not sure if her saliva had any minute quantities of blood due to her gums .. After 5 hours of the "accident" i see my lips cracking with blood .. IF the other person has HIV, what are my chances of acquiring it ??

Are there any other STD's that i could acquire due to this act ??

This is freaking me out !!! Kindly help with your expert opinions and possible actions you would suggest ..

I'm no expert, but I think I remember reading somewhere that there has been one documented case of HIV being transmitted by a kiss...and that it was because blood was exchanged. If you did exchange blood, it's definitely possible that the virus was transmitted.

Extremely eHealthy
Virtually impossible. Saliva is a bad conduit for bloodborne diseases. It massively disperses the viral load of a wet transfer disease and in the mouth saliva is self-flushing, meaning that saliva that gets blood in it is more likely to go down the person's throat than be transferred to someone else. If she had a bleeding sore in her mouth and you kissed for hours the risk would still be very low. Unless you know the person was HIV positive, you should worry less about this.
