Hello,
I was involved in a sexual assault incident that didnt last very long. There was no ejaculation. The assault was anal sex. There was no ejaculation. I am unsure if there was pre-ejaculate since there was an inconsistency of penetration due to the fighting. Either way, the tests that I have done are the following:

1) rapid blood test at 28 days-negative
2) 39 day (Qualitative) DNA-PCR & ELISA-both negative
3) 62 day oraquick-negative
4) 75 day ELISA (lab) & rapid test same day- both negative
5) 88 day rapid blood test-negative.

There is a vast amount of information, therefore a vast amount of inconsistency. I have been told by many people that I am conclusively negative. Yet I see on sites people claiming 6 months should be done as well. From my understanding, that is very old news even for the CDC. I spoke to them and they said its usually for people who have immune system problems. The experts on Medhelp claim that I am negative and no further testing is necessary, but see a lot of different arguments on this site which is emotionally frustrating. I consider myself a healthy person, yet was caught in the wrong place. I am a heterosexual male as well. Please, I am not looking for individuals with opinions, rather someone who is either a doctor or an expert. Thank you for your time an patience.

You've done great.

To be completely sure, do another blood test 90 days after your last test. That will be your final answer.

When people are tested, the doctor catches 98% of the people infected but there is a 2% that take six months to show HIV. That is why two tests taken three months apart are recommended.

Always
