i have finally did the hiv test. <0.25 means a negative, but when the figure is higher than hat it means you got the virus. i am 0.14, to the lab tests means negative, i was asked when was my last exposure, i did the test on the 9th of june, my last exposure was on the 5th of march. counting means (march , april, may, june) 3 months...right? then the doctor did the test because 3 months is the window period. then the doctor didn't call when i recieved the result, if the result was abnormal he would call right? i phoned i told them i don't know what is 0.14, the laboratory told me they can't reveal because of id cards problems and i contacted the gp group who finally explained that 0.14 figure is a negative and that the result is never 0.00 but always 0.1 something when you are negative. so i want to have a final answer.. is 0.14 considered negative by here's standards...some doctors here don't know what these figures mean, some think either you are positie or negative but according to the hospital i am negative.

I am sorry but I have never heard of those kind of numbers either..I would take the doctors word if they say you are negative.

i asked the doctors at st james the hospital where i'm currently doing some tests.., they said 0.14 is good, you are negative..the thing that bothers me is figures, because i always thought that hiv tests is done based on either you are positive or negative but since they are saying that less than 0.25 is negative than it's great and that my recurring colds is because of my stress then.
