I had sex with sex worker with 2 condoms provided by her 3-4 years back.

Now today i had test "HIV 1 $ 2 ANTIBODIES SCREENING TEST" and "HIV 1/2 & P 24 COMBO TEST".

Result is non reactive(index value 0.10).

Should this test is valid after 4 years or i have to do another test.

Right now i am hiv negative as per test report. i have aids or not.

Hello and welcome to E health forum.

ELISA for HIV antibody are accurate after 4 - 6 weeks after exposure. ‎90% of normal individuals who have HIV ‎‎‎exposure, will seroconvert within 4-6 weeks.

The ‎sensitivity ‎of the ELISA test is 99.9%. ‎

Since it has been 4 years since the episode, the validity of the test done now, is very accurate and valid.

There is no need to repeat any other tests for this, since you are HIV negative.

but ELISA test in not mentioned in my report.

"HIV 1 $ 2 ANTIBODIES SCREENING TEST" and "HIV 1/2 & P 24 COMBO TEST" and Hiv 1 & 2(CMIA) is mentioned in report.

Is CMIA is better than ELISA ?
