Q: HIV from needle prick ?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 27th, 2009
Hello,
I was suffering from MC virus infection and now looks like I am almost cured. But during the process an other doctor who did not treat me for this, suggested I go for HIV test, which I did and came negative. I also had an other elisa test which also is negative.

I had sexual contact with a person one year back. But I feel that I am suffering from fear phobia and finding it difficult to come out of it and hence met this guy to see if he also had HIV . By looking at him and a small discussion with him did not make me dougth him. This guy is a microbiologist.

But due to fear phobia I am undergoing, I assumed that he would have tried to prick me with a needle when he sat for a two minutes behind me in a scooter to be dropped back from a restuarant. I know it is my assumption. I did not feel any prick not any pain at all.

So please let me know if at all he attempted that, should the pin or the needle get into my skin to get affected.

please clear my anxiety.

Regar
