Yes, a HIV positive woman or man can use testosterone cream or gel as a testosterone replacement therapy.
The cream application should probably be applied two (or even three) times per day, starting first thing in the morning to mimic the rise in testosterone that occurs naturally.
After a few weeks of twice daily application, a relatively steady state blood testosterone level is generally attained.
In order to obtain an optimal absorption of the hormone, it is best to rotate the sites of application around the body (areas that may be used as application sites are breasts or pectorals, stomach, inner thighs, neck, under chin and inner elbows).
