Stroke Answer A3943
Stroke includes 3 cerebro-vascular disorders: brain infarct, brain hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage. HIV doesn’t increase the chances for stroke but increases the chances for brain infections (encephalitis, meningitis) caused by infective agents that, in normal occasions, rarely or never cause such infections.
