Q: Hiv accute period ?

Hi dr. I had an unprotected sex with a hooker and three weeks later i started getting fevers and headaches and lower back aches and fluedless pimles wich are pink and tiny and sometimes brown itchy and tingly ... than all my lymph glands blew like crazy and i keep having these symptoms even now (5 months later )

I also feel a lever and spleen enlargment I also feel some tingling in my feet and i have been losing weight and feeling sleepy all the time and i have joint aches lol that seems alot but this is what am feeling ... my question is can it be Hiv or mono even if i didnt have sore throught i had everything enlarged in my throught!

what could that be ?

Hiv... or mono ... or another viral infection

Being nonspecific, symptoms of acute HIV infection are not a reliable way to diagnose it.
These symptoms are similar with mono symptoms.
There are different forms of mono, and the one you may have, is with predominant lymphadenopathy (generally swollen lymph nodes) and sore throat doesn't need to be present.
Large swollen lymph nodes at the back of neck, is among first and very characteristic symptom of mono.
After 5 months, in case of mono the most prominent symptom is fatigue with other symptoms being almost diminished.
Test with HIV antibody test!

Just to add you should go get checked out by a doctor, to be on the safe side, and Never have unprotected sex with a hooker....

thanks for passing by ... now its 6 months .. all the symptoms are gone but am havi ng sore glands on the back of my neck and tingling numb feeling in my feet and an enlarged spleen and liver ... those symptoms diappeared but after i had a hot shower they came back :-s well proud mama thanks for the advise.. am not gonna have sex anymore lol Razz

No symptoms doent mean no HIV

Even if the symptoms dissipate or go away all together that doesn't mean anything.That is a natural occurrence for many people.GET TESTED!
