My right eye was directly hit by a tennis ball today. After it happened, the lower half of my vision was a dark shady color and has slowly worn off. It is currently six or seven hours after the incident, and I still get that shady visual disturbance at the bottom of my eye sometimes. Is this a serious problem and will it wear off?

Your retina could be damaged or partially detached. Call an eye dr right away

I went to an eye doctor and they said it is a bruised retina and would eventually recover. Does that sound legit?
