i have a history of rvot vt and am 18 year old female, and lately when i play football my heart is pounding in my chest and i get really breathless and a bit light headed sometimes, its usually all the way through the match/training? do you think i am just unfit? or could this be my heart? also throughout the day i get times can feel my heart skip a beat which makes me take a deep breath in? should i tell my cardiologist?

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you. RVOT-VT is one of the benign conditions and seen commonly in the young people. Normally, it does not result in a decompensation.

However, there’s a lways a small risk of dangerous arrhythmias like ventricular fibrillation. You are likely having extrasystoles (ectopic beats) resulting in the feeling of the missed beat.

I’ll suggest talking to your cardiologist and an electrophysiological study and going in for the radio-frequency ablation should help. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
