Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The cause for the low sperm count should be established. Most often the problem is due to obstructive causes, which if resolved can improve the sperm quantity and quality. Consider visiting an Urologist/Andrologist for further evaluation and treatment for your partner. Get your thyroid levels monitored for good control. Be regular with treatment. Monitor ovulation with checking cervical mucus changes and the BBT (basal body temperature) charting to predict your ovulation and time your intercourse for having fruitful results. Keep lying still for sometime after intercourse (do not change positions after ejaculation has occurred). Put pillows under buttocks to minimize spill. Have intercourse in positions that allow for deeper penetration for high deposit of semen. Have diet with foods rich in zinc content to ensure better maturation of egg and sperms. For further evaluation and assistance, visit your gynecologist/obstetrician. You can also opt for IVF or ICSI using your egg and your partnerâs sperms (such you both remain the biological parents) if other treatment options fail.
Take care.
