Ok, so here's my situation. My right hip for the past few years has been having this rather painful problem. I work during the summer in between school years and when I work, by the end of the day I get this stabbing hip pain in my butt area. It's typically very sharp and it hurts quite a bit to even walk. The worst parts of it are when I try and sit/lay down or get up. Generally when i've put in a normal days worth of work and try to lay down to relax- my hip takes about 30 seconds to actually relax and in the process it throbs with sharp pains. Now when I try and get up after laying down, it hurts so bad that I can't walk on my own right away. Anyone have ideas as to why this is? My guess is tendonitis, but i'm not a doctor Razz

Could be tendonitis or a faulty hip....Only a doctor can tell you this when he rotates your leg in the hip joint...Could be the way you walk, or exercise you are doing..Golfing can cause it or lifting...Just so many reasons...

I hope it gets better...

Hi
I had pain in my butt, back ,thigh and groin.
I had my right hip replaced in april and will get my left done in august.
I would ask your Doctor for a M.R.I to make sure.
