Hi, i am a 27 years single girl. my problem is that my periods are not regular since i got mensturation in the age of 15. when i was 17, i used to get periods for regular 15 to 20 days in a month and for that reason, my HB level got down to 5. i do not really remember the medicines i took but lately, the condition became totally opposite. and now i do not get periods until and unless i take artificial hormones. i took Diane 35 with my doctor's advice for almost 3 regular years and it left lots of side effects in me including weight gain, particularly in the upper body and the lump nodes in my armpit. with the advice of my doctor, i stopped its use. after that i start taking gynococid (only two tablets) and get periods. but if i do not take it, i do not get periods for months. even i have got a break of 8 months. my doctor says that it is because of my high testosterone level. it is 70.17 ng/dl. what should i do now? i do not want to take diane 35 any more!

High Testosterone Levels
It sounds like you have developed Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). If so, taking Spironolactone may help with the testosterone levels. You'll need to check with your doctor as it is prescription medication.
