It sounds like you may have "isolated systolic hypertension". It is a rather common form of hypertension that is usually caused by age related stiffening of the arteries (atherosclerosis). If this is the case, then the hbp does not originate in the kidneys and your treatment focus needs to be on the health of your arteries, specifically the endothelium (the lining in the arteries). You are already exercising, which is fantastic for your arteries (the nitric oxide created by exercising helps with vasodialation).
Some natural treatment options which target this specific area include: pomegranate, zinc, and the Zona Plus device (shown to reverse endothelial dysfunction). I don't think your bp is high enough to warrant prescription meds, but if you decide to go that route I would suggest avoiding beta-blockers, ACE Inhibitors and ARBs. I would talk to your doctor about diuretics first and if those don't work, maybe a calcium channel blocker.
