Afer several tests for some vague symtpoms of extreme fatigue, night sweats, swollen lymph nodes and general not feeling well i had a free light chains test. The results were a high kappa levels , normal lambda and a lambda kappa ratio of 2.3 (normal range should not be higher than 1.65) I have an appt to see a new hematolgist this week - the original hema dismissed me but gave me the FLC test - but obviously didn't look at the results - sent a note to my family dr saying he was doing this test and to send me back if anything abnormal comes up. Luckily my dr was not impressed with that and is sending me to a new hema. MGUS has come up but so has multiple myeloma. Wonder what else would cause these abnormal levels? I also have anemia (for years - blamed on heavy periods) high CRP and ESR, slightly high alpha globulins and a positive gallium scan for bone marrow infiltatratio/uptake. Anyone else have these symptoms?
