I was up the GUM clinic last week + they gave me antibiotics to treat Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and Chlamydia, the day after i got a phone call from one of the doctors up there and she told me to stop taking my antibiotics. I got blood tests done up there too and she told me my hormone level is high and has asked me to go up again this wednesday for more blood tests and a scan to see if i'm pregnant. What else could it be? Or am i pregnant?

Since you don't know which hormone level is high, I can only assume that the doctor was referring to your HCG level. The only time this is elevated is when a woman is pregnant or on fertility medication.

After a little searching, I found that pregnancy is not the only thing that can cause elevated HCG levels. Perimenopausal, postmenopausal and older women can sometimes have elevated HCG levels. There is also a type of cancer called Gestational Trophoblastic Disease that can raise HCG levels. And I found one instance where a woman with kidney failure had elevated HCG levels.

I read that some womens bodies just are not ready for children, they say it happens when you dont expect it. I think you should relax and stop thinking about it as much that way it could happen also buy a fertility kit to find out when the best time is to get pregnant. Also when he has ejaculated you should lay on your back and lift your bottom into the air holding yourself up and stay there for atleast 20 minutes, maybe uncomfortable but it works. That way none of the semen can come out of you and it will meet an egg alot easier. I hope this helps Smile
