Q: High Glucose Level!

I had my blood drawn 3 months ago and my labs came up normal with my glucose level at 96. I just had it done again to make sure that the Zocor that I had begun taking wasn't harming my liver, but this time my glucose level came in at 145. I'm supposed to go back in a month for more blood work, but the nurse told me that if it shows a high glucose level one more time that I would be diagnosed a diabetic. I also started taking Adderall between the lab visits. Can anyone tell me if the Zocor or Adderall or a combination of both could be responsible for the big rise in my glucose level? Thank you, Jason

I'm not sure. It could in some people. You should ask your pharmacist next time you go. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.
