From my experience it is easiest to stop by throwing out your remaining cigarettes the night before, wake up to a new day, and remember your decision to not smoke, no matter how you feel.

The physical discomforts will pass after a few days. The gums help with cravings, but i found it better to stop cold turkey.

It should normally be the opposite of what you are saying. If I have a fever and I smoke, my fever increases. Not sure why it works differently for you though.

By the way, what do mean by a high fever? Do you get a fever more than 103 degree? That's the sign of an infection that you have developed. Under normal circumstances, you will get a fever only when you have an infection. However, you can also get a fever when you have an autoimmune disorder (this is not an infection). Autoimmune disorders are diseases caused by the body producing an inappropriate immune response against its own tissues. Sometimes the immune system will cease to recognize one or more of the body’s normal constituents as "self" and will create auto antibodies – antibodies that attack its own cells, tissues, and/or organs. This causes inflammation and damage and it leads to autoimmune disorders.

If your fever is reaching 104 degree or higher, you MUST visit a doctor.

Good luck!

motivate yourself. Because even you want to stop to smoke, and you didn't do anything..nothing happens. Take some activities that will away you from smoking. I heard that yoga is the best, why don't you try it.

When was the last time you got fever by stopping smoking?

39 degree Celsius = 102.2 degree Fahrenheit (if the website in which I checked didn't give me a wrong answer or unless I made a mistake). Well, that's in the average range for fever but it's nothing that serious for an adult person. 43 c , however is equal to 109.4 (!!!) f. Alright man, I will be absolutely honest with you. Unless I checked through a rubbish website, I made a calculation mistake, or the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales for weather and human body are different, there is a SERIOUS problem with the thermometer that you have used or you are a super human being because as far as my limited knowledge is concerned, the human body temperature cannot go beyond 107/108 F. Are you sure it was 43 C? I doubt it was!

Ya you will feel like collapsing if at all you get a fever like 109.4 F.

By the way, don't measure the fever immediately after smoking. Don't smoke, eat or drink for at least 20 minutes before measuring the fever. The thermometer might give you a wrong reading if you do otherwise. Also, make sure you are in normal room temperature and you have been in rest for sometimes otherwise you might still get a wrong reading.

Hope that helps!
