My husband was diagnosed 5 yrs. ago with type 2 diabetes and since then has also been found to have high blood pressure. He has tried different medications for the HBP that have all left him feeling just miserable...exhausted with flu-like aches and pains. He stopped taking the medication and we have noticed that the readings are quite high in the morning and are normal the rest of the day. Highs being around 179/101 and the lower readings around 125/79. If he takes a nap in the afternoon, they also read high when he gets up. I have noticed that at times he has sleep apnea. Could this be the cause? Is there ANY medicine that would be beneficial without the awful side effects?

IS very risky if he has a big flutuation /Change in BP over diference of 50/22
IS better to seek help from a physician to stabalized his BP With a Big up/and down men is being high risk to Stroke and other internal organ damage in a short span of time.
There are so many more medications available for high BP and if a class not suitable the DR will know what to do next but he must go back to the DR and let the DR knows.
