Q: High Blood Pressure and dental procedures

Hi,

I recently had a tooth extraction and there was bleeding during and after the procedure. Is that normal. I had to spend some additional time in the dentist office after the procedure to make sure the bleeding did stop.Is this all due to my high blood pressure? If so, should I be getting dental work done? I have to go back in 4 days for the root canal. Will there be bleeding like my 1st procedure? Pls advise.
