Hernia symptoms in child

Hello my daughter is just 4 years old an she had a visit to the doctor for a check up and the docter says she might have hernia.My question is do these type of symtums go away as the grow up.

Except for small umbilical hernias during the first 4 or 5 years of life, most hernias will not go away without surgery.
