My son had symptoms about three to four days after the surgery. He had pain and vomiting.

when did you first notice the small lump appear ?

I found a lump in the groin within a day of the injury although there were 2 hernia next to each other and only the femoral hernia had a lump. The inguinal hernia only showed up on the ultrasound. Not all hernia show with a lump.
