Is there any risk in using herbal remedies such as toxin removing teas while taking drugs like depacote or lithium where the drug itself is actually a toxin and needs to be maintained at a certain level?

The best person to ask about herbal remedies, would be your prescribing doctor. I don't have a clue what toxin removing teas would do with meds like depacote or lithium.

You could look at firstly do you really have toxins in your system. You may find that your system takes care of on its own.

Then I suggest that you check if any herbal remedy actually does remove any toxins which your system may have overlooked.

I do know that a person on meds needs to be careful with St. Johns Wort.

Always check with your doctor.

Herbal remedies and teas can be contraindicated with prescription medications. The best thing to do is to check with your doctor prior to taking any other supplements while on prescription medications.
