in 2007 i had intercourse with a friend. we used condoms. last year, after routine tests for insurance purposes, which did not include hiv tests, i tested positive for chronic hepatitis b. my mind has gone in overdrive, i can't think straight just checking the internet and what is written about the links between hepatitis b and hiv. two weeks ago i finally had the courage to test, and it has taken 2 weeks to get the results. Last week i phoned the doctor and they said results take 2 weeks for them all the time.

in the meantime, my symptoms look unmistakenly what is described on the internet - forehead skin problems, coughing, feeling of malaise and confusion... my friend says she knows she is ok but does not produce proof of testing.

maybe my doctor is scared to break the bad news to me. maybe they found something and have to do many tests - i have never heard of a test that requires two weeks. and the symptoms.... what to do? do you think i contracted hiv on that july 2007 evening? i know that the next few days are definitive for me, i have neve been so scared and at times i feel like falling into railway tracks...

The doctor wouldn't lie to you nor would a professional doctor and his staff keep that news from you because they were scared to tell you. That is there job and they have to give much worse news to people all the time.
It takes 2 weeks.Dont freak out.You are more than likely not HIV and if you were that doesn't mean you are going to die or even get ill.
If this has you wanting to jump on the railroad tracks then you need to talk to some one about stress and anxiety because this is no reason to kill yourself.
