Soaking them in warm water does help...There is some medication that you can purchase through the drugstore, however, sometimes this makes them itch more...I have used vaseline at times to keep them moist...

I have also suffered for years with the problem. Bleeding, itching, and my doctor was recommending surgery. The problem is, I know people who had surgical techniques performed and they just came back again.
