Hi there
I'm very concerned about my 8 month old daughter being exposed to high risk hpv. I have found this forum to get some answers. I have visited doctors and talked to several nurses and Im not getting a answer and they even said they were unsure. My friend was dignosed with high risk type HPV and she has moderate cervical dysplasia. My concern is that when I was visiting her i left my daughter without a nappy after i realised i left my nappy bag at home. My friend who was wearing a very short nighty dress also Im pretty sure she had no under pance on. My concern is that when my friend was holding my 8 month old daughter in her lap facing genital to genitals. My friend also told me that her labia and clitiros hangs outside of the vagina and not in the vagina flabs. Im so worried that there was a genital to genital contact seem they both had nothing covering them.I havent slept for months worried about this incident. I feel like i was such a careless mother. I have read and read so much about HPV and it says hpv is passed through the skin to skin contact through the membranes.Im worried about they my daughter contracting the hpv on the cervix. I hope its through close contact through sex. Im so stressed and need to know my daughters chances. Shes now 2 years old so im just looking for a good explaination. What if she did contract it and they are too young to have paps smear and so worried it will progress to cervical cancer whens shes older. What I need to know is the virus just on the cervix or how does it spread. I would really really appreciate some answers. Sorry if it sounds like a strange questions. As a mother I want to keep my daughter safe.

hi there thanks for your reply. Yes I would love the site please. I have read about hpv on the internet for hours. I just need to know its says that hpv can be contracted through the skin membranes through genital to genital contact. Is the high risk hpv on the cervix only and does therefore require intercourse. When you say you got it through sexual contact is through intercourse. Even a nurse i spoke to scared me and mentions how lesbains too can contract high risk hpv. Just need more information on the actual transmission. So is my daugher ok if by accident the genital or labias contacted. Hope to hear from you soon. I have heaps of different answers and even seen doctors but i still have uncertainty ofthe transmission of hig risk.

oh yes i just seen the site thank you but i have read heaps and heaps of site and i just havent got the answers im looking for. I know that hpv is through intercourse but I also read that it can be through just genitals runbbing or touching to transfer the virus.Im hoping and praying that high risk hpv is only caught if touching the cervical membrane skin, therefore this required through sexual intercourse with a male.

I was hoping that the hystersister site would help you. They are very informative. I will do some looking and see what else I can find out for you too. Have you thought of taking your daughter to the doctor to have her tested for hpv? It is just a thought.

Extremely eHealthy
I think u r OVER THINKING this by 1000%
u said u talked to Dr.s and seem to ignore all they have told u
1st for the labia to be outside= boringly normal
2nd as to genital contact with your baby daughter-very slim
do your research; but remember after you have spent at least 20 hrs research; your Dr. has done about 100x more
NOW TAKE WHAT U WROTE and next time u see the Dr. give it that person and then LISTEN
