do you see a therapist or take any medicine? I used breathing techniques that helped alot to minimize them. I really don't get them anymore, and worked 2 years drug free. But i got OCD and some claustrophobia and was worried about work so took zoloft. I have Klonopin only for emergency.

THe important thing to know is that panic attacks dont kill and you are having a heart attack when you heart races. Daily Exercise, good nutrition, breathing techniques will help if you havent tried them already. If you need meds the SSRI family of drugs tend to be safe and are not a control substance as the Benzo family as Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin.

well, if you ask me zoloft is a miracle drug, to permanently clamp down the panic attacks in the long run, about (1 year). Personal experince with severe panic attack. The benzo family specially lorazepam can help to control the occurance. Alprazolam is also a good choice for severe panic attack.
so if you are haveing terrible panic attacks with typical textbook symptoms, see a neuroligst who prescribes ZOLOFT. It is miracle drug.
