Many times sleepless nights are blamed on teeth, but it's not always the teeth that are the problem.
If it is the teeth, a dose of tylenol at bedtime (you can get a recommended dose based on the weight of your baby from your doctor) will help. The part of teething that hurts the most is the teeth cutting through the bone, not the gum. We can't see that happening, so it's really hard to judge when it occurs.
Make sure your baby is getting enough to eat during the day. Hunger is a hugely overlooked problem if the parent thinks the child is just teething. It could be both as well. Around this age, the child could be going through a growth spurt for which she needs more calories, and a change in nap time schedules could also be needed as she gets older.
