Not sure if this is the right forum but i need some input on a problem my girlfriend has recently ran into.

A couple days ago my girlfriend all the sudden threw up out of no where. She felt fine before that and then just threw up without warning; after said she felt nausious and her stomach hurt really bad to the point where she didn't want to move across the bed to get some medicine.

I didn't think much of it because she didn't seem too worried and seemed fine when i saw her after work that same day. But it just happened again to her tonight out of nowhere and again with the stomach cramps. She also feels really tired but is having a really hard time falling asleep.

Not sure if its related but she also has had a cough for about the last few weeks. We assumed the cough was from her smoking which she has stopped and the coughing seemed to get better recently but then this random throw up thing started happening. I saw the cramping and randomly throwing up can be associated with her period but she was not on it since this started.

I keep trying to encourage her to go to the doctor just to be safe but she hates the doctor. Any ideas on what it could be or am i just worrying too much? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the first time was a little after she ate some food but i ate some of what she had so i didn't think it was the food. We've been sexual active but haven't checked to see if she's pregnant. She doesn't have a fever and the cough is a dry cough like irritation in the back of her throat kind but the cough itself is almost completely gone

eating the same food doesn't prove it is not the food, depends mostly on her immune system if it is weak for any of a multitude of reasons. she needs to be hydrated or she will get weaker.
what kind of medicine was she going to reach across the bed for?

I've had exactly the same thing with my girlfriend recently.

She's had a very nasty cough; and this evening she began to vomit violently; and all of her symptoms are the same of your girlfriend.

Did you find out what was wrong in the end?
