Ok, sorry for my previous post. Here we go again, hope all is alright now.

Hi there,

I'm 22 y old and i'm 174cm, and of course I want to get taller Smile Some people say that height can't increase after puberty, others say that ppl continue to grow even to 26-30 y so... my first question I guess is, when exactly ends puberty and can't we grow after that at all? Because I'm pretty sure I gained 2 cms between 2006 (172) and 2009 (174).

I've found a free site for height gain experiments where a man named Foster claims he had gained 2 inches in height in the Lumbar area, which increased its size. That he did in one year with intensive biking and some intense stretching exercises. This theory is supported by another guy, Sky, who claims to have gained 2 cm in 2 months (or something). I am willing to try this routine but i thought I should consult with doctors cause these exercises look quite intense and I don't want to risk damaging my back for nothing Smile

The exercises consist of sitting on the floor with legs stretched in front of you and you bent upwards and try to touch your toes. They say they had done this exercise for an hour every morning and right before they went to bed.

The explanation for that growth in the site is that by performing intense stretching exercises the 5 cartilage discs in the lumbar area will undergo a tear-repair process and will grow. As I get it the growth occurs in these discs only but not in the bones. So, can these discs grow under stimulation?

Its evident that the growth of height stops by after completion of puberty. But when exactl puberty ends does not have a specific answer..coz this vareies by gender...and even its different for every person. But generally by age of 20..its maximum possible that puberty has been completed in any indivisual regardless of sex.except in case of delayed puberty...we cannot expect increase in hright after this age.And what you say...about the increase in lumbar cartilage...it doesnt have any evidence too... as all the bones stop crosint after a cerstian age.(some of them even before puberty) Better consult a PT,orthopadecian...or best wud be a sport physiotherapist

Well, I thought I'll find orthopadecians here who would give their 2 cents about it.

Ha ha. I've never heard about it before but it's something I would definitely try. If you think about it have you ever met a short bicycler? I've only known one person in my life who never learned to ride a bike and she's 4 foot 9 inches (i don't know how many centimeters that is but it's short) Where do i sign up?
